MAN turns 25

It was February 6, 1999 when the museum opened its doors to the public for the first time with a large exhibition dedicated to Eduardo Chillida , alongside an important anthology of Gino Frogheri.

Exactly 25 years have passed since the birth of what is today considered one of the most important modern and contemporary art museums in Italy. To celebrate this quarter of a century, the MAN is organizing a week full of events, including concerts, photo sessions and DJ sets.

Along Corso Garibaldi, the museum’s birthday will be celebrated with the display of over one hundred historical posters of the most significant exhibitions, from Miro to Picasso , from Schiele to Giacometti , give her Futurists to Sensorama .

25 years of images remained in everyone’s eyes.

From Tuesday 6 to Sunday 11 February, the museum will be open free of charge every day from 10:00 to 19:00. On this occasion, they will be offered to visitors free catalogues of historical exhibitions, collectible pins[M|A|N] 25 limited edition for the twenty-fifth anniversary and Museum card for young people turning 25 in 2024.

Thanks to the collaboration with the Nuoro Music High School , three evenings will be animated by young musical talents who grew up in the classrooms of the prestigious Nuoro institute.

Furthermore, a photographic set will invite the public and citizens to participate by posing as the characters represented in the works of Giovanni Ciusa Romagna And Lisetta Carmi.

Furthermore, the students of Enrico Fermi Scientific High School in Nuoro they will accompany visitors to discover the current exhibitions.
