Tango evening at MAN. Friday 3 February, 6.30pm

Within the rich calendar of collateral initiatives accompanying the exhibition dedicated to Picasso and his masterpiece Guernica, the MAN is pleased to present an evening dedicated to Argentine tango. The protagonists will be Juan Marchetti and Tamara Bisceglia, two great professionals tangueros who for the occasion will adapt the show for the museum rooms.

Juan Marchetti , born in Buenos Aires, started dancing at a young age. His training was imprinted on traditional tango thanks to the teachings of the great masters of the past and was enriched with the experiences gained in the tango companies that performed in the theaters of Buenos Aires until the 2000s. He moved to Europe where he currently lives dedicating himself to teaching and teaching. Constantly evolving and inspired by contemporary references, with whom he keeps alive the comparison and continuous learning, his tango reveals constant research based on technical elements at the service of musical interpretation, an essential part and constant element in his performances.

Tamara Bisceglia. She began her career as a classical dancer at the Higher Institute of Art of the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, winning an international competition at a very young age which allowed her to continue her studies with a scholarship at the SAB – School of America Ballet in New York . He has always worked in various dance troupes, also covering solo roles. In 2003 she made her first tour as a tango dancer with the show Tangerine , taking part in the legendary show Argentine tango , Forever Tango . In 2012 he created and directed the company Obsession Tango . He participates in international festivals and is a member of the world tango festival.
